Pale Pink

Soooooooooooo it's been over a month since my last post, but today I suddenly felt inspired to blog again.

While reading some blogs on Nylon I came across some awesome photos of painted nails with big cute eyes on them. Being inspired I decided to play around with my nail kit and attempt the look. The end result wasn't that bad and the eyes were actually much easier to do than I thought. Also, lately i've been madly in love with Pink lipstick. I can't seem to pull off the red lips, but pink will do. Check out the photos below.

Random thoughts

I officially turned 21 on August 21 and so far it's been fabulous. Meanwhile, I was watching The Rachel Zoe Project today and I always tell myself, "I'm only going to watch a little bit of it and return to doing homework." Well, I swear she gets me every single time. Her lifestyle is so crazy. I love her sense of style and over-dramatic personality. She makes me want to start my own styling company, aside from everything else I want to do. One thing is for sure though, time is clicking.

My new puchase moment
I recently got a simple BCBGeneration sweater at my work place and I love it; it goes with almost everything in my closet.

Lazy Robot

A lazy day means an effortless outfit and messy hair.

So, turns out...i've been shopping pretty much everywhere BUT the thrift store. My saving plan was an epic fail. I seriously have a shopping problem. I keep selling clothes to Plato's closet to clear my closet, but I end up buying more to full it up. I need more space...

Thrift store junkie

I've spent so much money the last few months on clothes that I am punishing myself. So...because i'm so into vintage inspired pieces, I've decided that I am ONLY shopping at the thrift stores for clothes now until I can fully save to buy a new car. Let me tell you, shopping at a thrift store is definitely not easy. It takes a lot of time and patience to go through each individual rack. Sometimes I have to go through half the damn store before I find something that can possibly be a purchase. However, today was a good day. I came home with five items and spent under 10 bucks. I think this saving plan might work out after all.

Tank- $3.00, Tunic- $1.00, Leopard flats- $3.00, Black knee-high stockings- $1.00

Wearing my new tunic and knee high stocking...

I've been wanting to purchase some basic high pumps. Finally found something that I absolutely adore. Skirt-Free people, accessories- thrift store, Bag- Forever21

Roberto Cavalli Fall 2010 RTW

I am not a big designer junkie at all, but after I saw the new Cavalli campaign with Gisele Bundchen I was OBSESSED.

Look for yourself...

I'm obsessed with the jackets and messy hippie hair. I love the the different layers, textures, and prints from this collection. There is something charming yet edgy about it that appeals to me. I love it.

Wouldn't it be nice.

How could you not love the 70's? I'm definitely in love again!

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together
In the kind of world where we belong

You know its gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together

Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through

Happy times together we've been spending
I wish that every kiss was neverending
Wouldn't it be nice

Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do
We could be married
And then we'd be happy

Wouldn't it be nice

You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But lets talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice

Good night my baby
Sleep tight my baby

I cover myself with your eyes...

School is finally out, but I'll be back in three weeks for the summer quarter! I have not been keeping up with my blogs at all, but I plan to during this short summer break. Lately, I've been really into anything that is over-sized, meaning over-sized jackets, tops, shoulder bags, glasses, etc! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them all :)

Shine on...

I felt a little inspired by some slow rock music today.

Black sheer zip up hoodie- Charlotte Outlet, Graphic dress & shoes- Wet Seal, Leggings- Target(merona), Bracelets- Express, Necklace- Forever21

Jets- Shine on
That if the moon had to runaway
And all the stars didn't wanna play
Don't waste the sun on a rainy day
The wind will soon blow it all away
yeah oh yeah

When the days all feel the same
Don't feel the cold or wind or rain
Everything will be okay
We will meet again one day
I will shine on, for everyone

Gone with the wind

I haven't blogged for a few weeks. I've been extremely busy with school and work but my Spring break officially started earlier today; a great relief. Now I can finally catch up with everything else in life. Taking a breather and perhaps rewarding myself for an awesome school quarter.

Lately, I've notice that my sense of taste and style has been a bit more tailored and suited. I think it might be time to start building a more sophisticated wardrobe, definitely need to start looking more presentable. I hate growing up, I still like playing hopscotch. :(

A bit of twinkle in my soul

Blogging my boring night away...

It's funny when the only time we actually think about things that matter to us is when we are bored out of our minds, well I mainly speak for myself.

Never the less, as Spring arrives, I am preparing myself for the new opportunities heading my way. I am super thankful for the people I've met these past years, they truly are the building blocks to my "hopefully" successful future. I am now at a phase where I'll take on any opportunity given to me. I strongly believe that when one thing doesn't work out for you, you move on, meet new faces, and sooner or later new faces will lead to something better. Everything truly happens for a reason and in my case, fate has been wonderful to me.

Let the fun begin...
I toast to myself =D
